- Smara Iftimie's unique line of jewelry is inspired by modern day society, art and nature. Her background is in costume and accessory design for movies, creating prints for fashion, as well as drawing and painting for illustration work. All pieces are unique, with the prime material being reclaimed leather, sometimes in combination with semi-precious stones. She is in favor of producing the new using the old and has a strong affinity for materials that have a history of their own. "I am being creative, honest and daring in my designs. For me, wearability is a priority and I always blend it in the conceptual process without going towards ideas that are too safe or boring.
